How to download ALL pictures at once

Taifun File Sharing allows you to download only one image at a time. It doesn't not have YET support to download all images/files at once. However, there is a plugin for Firefox that allows you to do exactly this task. Please download the plugin from here.

Taifun File Sharing is working in the local network but other people cannot connect

At this moment the program was tested extensively and we didn't found any problems. Therefore, if the program works in the local network but external users cannot connect and download files from you, it means that the program is 101% operational but other problems (most likely the firewall) prevent the users from outside your network to reach it.

There are two things you need to take care of in order to make sure the program will work properly:

1) Check your firewall settings

2) Check your router/modem settings

How to set your firewall

Most users will have to deal with Microsoft Windows Firewall. Fortunately, there are no big issues with it. The firewall will pop-up a message when it will detect that the Taifun File Share wants to act as a file server. The Microsoft Windows Firewall will ask you if you allow that. All you have to do is to say yes (unblock program). If you have other firewall and you don't know how to set it you may need to read the manual or to ask its producer how to unblock specific software.

Please note that some firewall/antivirus software may silently block all programs that! No warning will be show to you.

Conclusion: the first thing to try when Taifun File Share is not working is to check if it was blocked by your firewall/antivirus/anti spyware software. The best will be to disable your security software for 10-20 minutes. It should work this way.

How to set your router (port forwarding)

If you are not connected to Internet directly but you are going through a complex device like NAT/router then you certainly have to do a so called "port forwarding". It is not as complicated as it sounds at all.
Open your router settings page and create a port forwarding rule (there should be a button called "add new port forwarding" or similar) for your IP. By default Taifun File Share is using the port 3724 so enter this value in your router settings. If it asks for two different ports (one for input/internal and one for output/external) use the same value (3724). In case you also need this information, the protocol used is TCP (not UDP).

If you don't like the port 3724, you can change it in "Taifun ->Internet Settings -> Your IP address".
You may also want to try port 80 which is the default port for a regular web server. Some routers may have a predefined rule for this so all you need to do is to activate it.

If you still have problems, do a search on Google for "port forwarding". Also, add in the search box the name of your router.

How to have the file server always started when I start Taifun?

Taifun File Share accept two command line parameters: 'ShareOff' and 'ShareOn'. By passing the 'ShareOn' parameter in the command line the server will always be started when Taifun starts.
