No spyware policy
Is BioniX safe for my computer?
OH YES! This is our preferred question. And the answer is simple and straight: YES.
BioniX will not let dirt in you computer like other program does.
BioniX doesn’t
- use DLLs
- use ActiveX, DCom, Java or other insecure technologies
- have an installer
- write piles of junks in your registry
- write files in your Windows folder.
It is 100% safe to install. If you want to convince yourself start a disk/registry monitor and an antivirus/anti spyware monitor and watch BioniX while it is working.
The hard question: Is it BioniX a spyware?
These days we where talking with someone on the email. He said to us (he didn’t know we are the authors of BioniX) that is dangerous to use BioniX because is full of spyware. He had an Anti-Spyware software that detected our program as spyware.
It was absolute hilarious. Then the truth became clear. That software pretends to be an anti-spyware but in fact was a spyware. To impress the user it reported different kind of software as spyware while in the background it done its job.
We strongly recommend you to delete all unknown software that pretends to be something wonderful (security, Windows debuggers, small games) and to use a good anti virus instead (something like Kaspersky antivirus).
Also you really need to install a good firewall (Black Ice, Zone alarm). Any spyware will try to access the Internet every day or often to send gathered information. If a program is trying to access all the time the Internet, the firewall will let you know about it. If that software isn’t Netscape or Internet Explorer, then it might be a spyware.
Remember: any program that will try to access the Internet without informing you MIGHT be spyware. It is your computer and you have the right to know and decide what kind of information you will permit to go outside.
Inform yourself and ACT!
BIONIX WILL NEVER TRY TO ACCESS THE INTERNET if you disable the 'automatic updates' engine! So it can't be spyware.
'bionix' and BioniX Wallpaper
Few years ago some hackers decided to create a virus. And they didn't found any other name than bionix. Please understand there is absolutely no connection between that virus called bionix and our software. We believe they tried to use our program's reputation in order to spread their virus. Anyway that was long time ago and any decent anti-virus software can recognize and remove that virus. For
more security please do not download BioniX Wallpaper form 3rd party web sites. Instead use ONLY our web site. More info about this name coincidence.
Use your own antivirus
We strongly recommend you to always have an anti-virus software installed. But be careful. Lots of low quality products are now available on the marked. They only pretend they will protect you but in reality they can detect only a small number of viruses. Our recommendation is Norton Antivirus.
