LOW FAT BIONIX
Memory and CPU requirements
Can I keep BioniX Wallpaper running, all the time?
Sure! We optimized BioniX to use very few resources.
How much memory it needs?
BioniX takes about 2MB of RAM while in idle state and 3-5MB while changing the wallpaper. If you have huge images (like 2400x1600 pixels), it may use some extra memory.
However, after changing the wallpaper, BioniX will switch back to idle mode and it will release the previous used memory.
On Windows 2000/XP, BioniX Wallpaper will take even less memory if you keep it minimized. This will decrease the memory consumption to less than 1.5MB. No other wallpaper changer in the world takes so little resources!
You want to go to extreme and to decrease the memory consumption even more? Then try to disable the skins.
How much CPU it needs?
CPU utilization is 0% while in idle state and less than 2-3% when changing the wallpaper (active state). Active state is usually shorter than 0.5 seconds. Basically, it takes no CPU.
