What is your most wanted feature? (THE POLL HAS BEEN REOPEN)

Postby admin » 29 Apr 2009, 20:25

Features will be implemented based on the votes.

You can select up to 6 items (but we recommend to vote only the items that you need badly). Please feel free to comment your choice.

If you need a feature that is not in the list please check the "Other requests" and then post your request in a new thread.
If a similar request already exists in a different thread, just add a comment to it, to sustain it.

Please also take quick look at this thread. It will also help us to improve BioniX.

My dream would be to have Bionix drive my screensaver as well.

I use anyimage on my machines. All my wallpaper images can be used as screensaver images, however I have additional images that are too busy to be used as wallpapers.

Example: On my media pc I have anyimage set up so that all the transitions wipe without distorting the existing image. I have created a lobby image for all the movies in my collection and the result looks like a static wall with changing movie posters, fake ads and so on.

On the other machines, I just point it to my wallpapers/screensavers top directory and let it rip.

Ideally I'd like to point to a folder (and its subfolders) and have the images added to the playlist automatically.

Most important would be the installer to deinstall the previous version if required when updating.

It would be nice to have dual monitor support, however on all of my machines each monitor is a different size.

Bionix Extreme is required to remove the logo, Bionix Insane is required to watch a folder, according to the software. This makes it difficult to decide whether to upgrade.

There are plans to redistribute the screensaver with BioniX Wallpaper.

BioniX is a portable application. To uninstall it, just delete the INI file (this is equivalent with a 99.9% uninstall) or the folder where it is installed (this is equivalent with a full uninstall).

It will be availalbe in less than one week.

Do you wan tot remove the logo AND to "lock on folder" at the same time?
Then you need the Insane edition.

Your feature requests are good and probably they will be all accepted.
However, please start a new thread for each feature request. Each request may be handled by a different person (even though we are all operation under the "admin" account). Also, it will be easier to maintain such a list if we don't mix miscellaneous subjects.

My monitors are back to front ie my primary is on the right and secondary on the left. Currently images start on right screen and finish on left ie cut off on both monitors. It would be great to be able to specify which monitor is on the left and which is on the right.

PRETTY PLEASE

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

This is already in our ToDo list but I cannot estimate when it will be ready.

It would be nice to have different playlists for each monitor.
This would be interesting from my view because of two reasons.

1 - Monitors have different resolutions, so you could take pictures for each monitor that fit best without resizing or stretching them
2 - On each monitor the icons are sorted in a different way, so you can take pictures that fit best.

The BOSS button.

There should be an "unboss" button.

THe BOSS button only paints one screen, should paint both.

I have not tried the other hot keys but I suspect they might want similar attention.

How about a hotkey or function key that makes all current windows transparent for a brief time.

This way the feature request can be discussed and sustained (by other users) in its own thread.

I want to see a feature that would auto fit the image to screen edge.
In effect, inlarge or shrink the image to the point where the image edge meets the monitor screen edge.
This is not the streach feature I'm talking about. As soon as two edges meet the screen edge the resize prosses is complete.
The only place that I have seen effect this is with WallMaster screensaver.
